Holywell Medical Group – Patient Updates

Below are the latest updates regarding the Holywell Medical Group/Rectory Road. If you have any questions please do get in touch.

Keeping patients informed

NHS England (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire) with Holywell Medical Group have set up a communications group to ensure patients and other interested stakeholders are being kept informed of progress regarding improvements at Holywell and the proposed options for the splitting off of Rectory Road.

The group, which meets at least once a month, includes representatives from the Holywell Patient Participation Group and the patient experience teams for NHS England (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire) and North Derbyshire CCG, along with Holywell Medical Group clinical and administrative staff. HealthWatch Derbyshire will also be joining the group.

Patients and interested groups are invited to keep in touch by joining the Holywell Medical Group e-news mailing list, please email jose.elliott@nhs.net

Rectory Road

Negotiations are ongoing on the proposed option of splitting off Rectory Road surgery from the rest of the Group. NHS England (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire) hopes to have determined a solution for Rectory Road by the end of June. It then intends to write to all Holywell Medical Group patients in early July to tell them what has been decided and explain the next steps. If splitting off is the preferred option, this would need to be achieved by October 2014.

New Holywell project manager

Holywell Medical Group has appointed a project manager, Pat Colclough, to drive forward the improvements identified as remaining outstanding by the Care Quality Commission in its revisit report published on 3 May 2014. Pat can be contacted at HMG, Tel: 01246 748030 or by email pcolclough@nhs.net.
