Clay Cross Town FC

Clay Cross FC fun day 17 August 2014I really enjoyed watching Clay Cross Town FC play against Hallam FC in a pre-season friendly over the summer.

Hallam FC play two levels higher than Clay Cross Town and in the end won 3-2, but it looks like Clay Cross are going to have a great season judging by that performance, and some of their results in the league so far.

I was also able to return to the club a couple of weeks after the game for their Charity Football Tournament and Fun Day, organised by the District Council’s next Chair Tracy Reader, in support of Fair Play.

It was a fantastic day for everyone associated with the club, and I’m looking forward to my next visit, and hopefully seeing them have a successful season.
